My latest book: Twin Wolves: Balancing risk and reward to make the most of AI
For the past couple of months I've noted that "tokenmaxxing" and usage mandates were terrible ways to drive AI adoption. Today? Companies have gotten the memo.
Per this Financial Times article:
Employers pushed staff to use AI more. That has backfired.
Incentives to use new tools are changing as costs start to hit home.
Or as I prefer to say it:
▶️ Tokenmaxxing and usage mandates waste money, plain and simple. ◀️
Sure, it feels exciting at first because you get that jolt of activity.
But it's a slow, inefficient, and sometimes dangerous way to surface AI use cases.
The better path?
▶️ Develop an AI strategy. ◀️
A real one. Figure out how AI might help move the needle on your goals and challenges, then put that into a plan.
This may not sound as exciting as tokenmaxxing. But it'll save you a lot of time, money, and headache on your AI transformation.
