It's getting better

For all of the hype around genAI (and there's been a lot) one upside of the popularity is the improved tooling.

When I look at apps I built a couple of years ago, I see a lot of that hand-rolled grunt work I did back then is now available in libraries/frameworks. Which is nice.

What that means for you: compared to 2023-2024, your genAI-based app/product will benefit from a shorter time-to-market + more robust foundation + smaller code debt.

(It's still up to you to use genAI wisely. Which remains a hurdle for most companies. But that's a different story ...)
